Rise Academy - SMS / Text Messaging Privacy Policy

This policy explains how K&L Childcare, LLC, operating as Rise Academy ("Rise Academy," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and protects information in connection with its text-message (SMS/MMS) notification program for enrolled families.

Information we collect

  • The parent or guardian's mobile phone number.

  • The parent's affirmative consent to receive text messages, and the date and method of that consent.

  • Records of the messages we send (such as date, time, delivery status, and which child a notification concerns).

How we use this information

We use mobile numbers and consent records solely to send notifications about a parent's own child and the operation of the school, including injury and incident reports, illness and health notices, send-home and pickup notifications, and time-sensitive operational messages. We do not use text messaging for advertising or marketing.

How we share information - and how we do not

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party. We share information only with service providers that help us deliver the messages (for example, our messaging carrier and platform), and only to the extent needed to send the notifications you have requested. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect a child's safety.

Message frequency, rates, and opting out

  • Message frequency varies and depends on the activity involving your child.

  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

  • You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You can request help by replying HELP, or by contacting us at 972-727-9900 or info@yourriseacademy.com

  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of enrollment or of any service Rise Academy provides.

Children's information

Notifications concern enrolled children, but are sent only to the verified parent or guardian who has opted in. We treat all information about a child as confidential and handle it consistent with our broader privacy practices and applicable law.
